Wenge, with its bright, snappy low end and smooth mids and highs, and curly redwood with its piano-like crispness, are the perfect combination for a crisp, clean attack to complement Tom’s finger-picking style. The rich, smooth voice of this instrument teeters on the edge of classical. In the past, my interest in guitars has been almost exclusively electric. Had I the opportunity to play an instrument like this sooner, however, I may never have become interested in electrics.
